More Hall - short walk

Type: Two Boots
Route Length: 2-5 miles

This route is ideal for walkers looking for a bit of variety whilst getting away from life’s daily grind. There are two walks of different lengths, one running around the edge of More Hall Reservoir in the Ewden Valley, the other following the same path but extending the walk into woodland and the lanes of the valley to the south. The woodland path can become muddy when wet so boots are recommended. The walk is 2.3 miles long.

Location
South of Stocksbridge

Access
Park at the western end of the private road which runs along the north side of More Hall, near Ewden Village, point 1.

Route

From the parking area point 1 walk along the road to the junction at Ewden village and take the left hand fork to the bridge. After the bridge, continue on the road for a short distance until you reach another fork.

Turn left immediately after the bridge and follow the road for 250 metres before joining a waterside path which runs along the southern shore of More Hall Reservoir.
