Route From Alwoodley Lane walk along Goodrick Lane opposite Mount Drive point 1 and at the end of Goodrick Lane turn left along the path to a small gate. Pass through the gate onto farmland. Initially the path runs at the edge of the wood, follow it around to pass through two stiles where it leaves the woodland and runs across open farmland and over two stiles to point 2 where the path joins the public road. Keeping right, pass the access to Bank House Farm point 3 and walk along the private road passing Bankhouse Farm on the left to the bridleway gate at point 4. This can be a very busy road and care should be taken when walking along it. Turn right through the bridleway gate and follow the bridleway past Owlet Hall Farm to another bridleway gate onto the road. Turn right along the road across the embankment past the red kite viewing platform and turn right through the ‘A’ frame at the gate next to the cottage at point 5. Keep on the track along the reservoir side to the gate and go through the ‘A’ frame at point 6 back to Goodrick Lane at point 1.
