Route From the car park in Digley Quarry point 1, go up the steps in the banking towards the reservoir to join a walled lane, turn right uphill slightly and follow the lane as it descends towards a point where it is walled across. Keep right here leading to a stile on a path alongside a wood where you will come across a flight of steps. Descend the steps and follow the obvious path to a stile into a walled lane. Follow this lane for approximately 315 metres to where it forks at point 2. There is a seat here between the two lanes. For the long route, bear right at point 2 and follow the lane around a right turn to a T-junction at point 7. Turn left and follow a walled lane for just under a mile. Other old tracks split off periodically but there is never any doubt which is the main one. Passing Goodbent Lodge on the left continue along the lane until you reach the fourth field on the left at point 8. Turn left over the stone stile and head straight down the field with the wall on your right. Leave the field via a stile alongside the gate at the bottom and join a track which slants leftwards down the hillside to a bridge over the stream at point 9. Follow the path up the far hillside on a broad track which narrows after about half a mile to a junction with another track at point 10. Bear left along the track which soon becomes a walled lane (Issues Road) point 11. Just beyond the high point on this lane is a seat and a track turning left, pass these and follow the lane curving right; a farmstead will come into view the lane starts to descend here. At point 12 turn left into a lane between walls. Continue for 600 metres to come to a stream. Keeping the stream on your right descend steeply to meet a path by a gate and small bridge. Here at point 4 we are re-united with the short route and follow the short walk directions back to the car park.
