Route

Enter the path at the end of the embankment through the metal gate point 1 opposite the Victorian Valve Tower and cross the embankment to the far side of the reservoir.  Pass through the gate, turn right onto the bridleway and continue to point 2 where the bridleway meets the public highway.

Turn right through the small gate and immediately turn left along the edge of the water with the fence to your left. Cross the small boardwalk and follow the path along the side of the reservoir.  Cross to a longer boardwalk around the small bay and follow the path through to the public road at point 3.

Turn right onto the public road, take care, cross the road bridge and turn right through the small gate to enter the woodland around the reservoir.  Follow the path keeping the reservoir on your right, pass an entrance at point 4 and continue along the path along the edge of the water back to the start of the walk at point 1.
