Route

From The Sands 1 turn right and head for the footbridge and ford but do not cross the river, instead walk up stream on the flagged riverside path to the next bridge.  Cross here and go up the steps on the far bank to a stile in the wall, bear left after the wall, up five more steps and then forward up the enclosed path alongside a field to a public road at point 2.  Turn left along the road to meet the longer walk at point 5. Turn right along the road to a large gateway on the left and turn left through a stile at point 6 into the wood and follow the path along the edge of the water. The path eventually turns left by a Nature Reserve sign and crosses the bridge over the stream, Agden Dike, at point 7. After the bridge the track becomes a path, winds uphill through mixed woodland and in 200 metres comes out into a more open area and then to a T-junction with a walled lane point 8.

Turn left along this lane, over a bridge and follow it to the public road.  Bear left along the road as it descends towards the reservoir. Walk on the right so that you can see the traffic coming which is closest to you. Stay on this road, point 9, for about a third of a mile, passing the end of Agden Damon to the left until you come to a T-junction. Turn left downhill to the first bend in the road and turn left to return to the car park.
